This Privacy Policy (the "Privacy Policy") does not apply to information our customers may process when using our Services.

We may collect and receive information about users of our Services ("users," "you," or "your") from various sources, including: (i) information you provide through your user account on the Services (your "Account") if you register for the Services; (ii) your use of the Services; and (iii) from third-party websites, services, and partners.

We recommend that you read this Privacy Policy in full to ensure you are fully informed. If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or Basin's data collection, use, and disclosure practices, please contact us at help@aluragroup.com.

The Gist

Your privacy is critically important to us, and we have a few fundamental principles we abide by:

  • We don't ask you for personal information unless we truly need it.
  • We don't share your personal information with anyone except to comply with the law, develop our products, or protect our rights.
  • We don't store personal information on our servers unless required for the ongoing operation of one of our services.
  • We aim to make it as simple as possible for you to control what's visible to the public, seen by search engines, kept private, and permanently deleted.

Website Visitors

Like most website operators, PCM collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. PCM's purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how PCM's visitors use its website. From time to time, PCM may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its website.
PCM also collects potentially personally identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for logged-in users. PCM only discloses logged-in user and commenter IP addresses under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information as described below.

Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information

Certain visitors to PCM choose to interact with PCM in ways that require PCM to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that PCM gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, we ask visitors who sign up to provide an email address. Those who engage in transactions with PCM are asked to provide additional information, including as necessary the personal and financial information required to process those transactions.
In each case, PCM collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor's interaction with PCM. PCM does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. And visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities.

Aggregated Statistics

PCM may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to its websites. For instance, PCM may monitor the most liked and viewed entries. PCM may display this information publicly or provide it to others. However, PCM does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below.

Google Analytics and Advertising Features

We use Google Analytics and Google Signals to collect information about your use of our website and to improve our services. Google Analytics and Google Signals allows us to collect data from different services and devices used by a user to personalize the ads across different platforms. By using our website, you consent to the collection and use of this data by Google in accordance with their privacy policy.
You can opt-out of the collection of this information by Google Analytics by visiting the Google Analytics opt-out page. Additionally, you can manage your advertising preferences by visiting the Google Ads settings page.

Protection of Certain Personally-Identifying Information

PCM discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only to those of its employees, contractors, and affiliated organizations that (i) need to know that information in order to process it on PCM's behalf or to provide services available at PCM's website, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to others. Some of those employees, contractors, and affiliated organizations may be located outside of your home country; by using PCM's websites, you consent to the transfer of such information to them.
PCM will not rent or sell potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information to anyone. Other than to its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations, as described above, PCM discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only in response to a subpoena, court order, or other governmental request, or when PCM believes in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of PCM, third parties or the public at large.
If you are a registered user of the PCM website and have supplied your email address, PCM may occasionally send you an email to tell you about new features, solicit your feedback, or just keep you up to date with what's going on with PCM and our products. We primarily use our various product blogs to communicate this type of information, so we expect to keep this type of email to a minimum. If you send us a request (for example via a support email or via one of our feedback mechanisms), we reserve the right to publish it in order to help us clarify or respond to your request or to help us support other users. PCM takes all measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration or destruction of potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information.

Google OAuth

OAuth is an open standard for access delegation, commonly used as a way for internet users to grant websites or applications access to their information on other websites but without giving them the passwords.
PCM uses OAuth to allow users to sign in to PCM using their Google account as well as for other opt-in Google integrations. PCM does not store any of your Google account information. PCM only stores your email address and your name, which you have provided to Google. PCM uses this information to create your PCM account.

Data Deletion

You may at any time review or change the information in your account or terminate your account by:
- Logging into your account settings and updating your account
- Contacting us via support using the contact information provided below
Upon your request to terminate your account, we will deactivate or delete your account and information from our active databases. However, some information may be retained in our files to prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, enforce our Terms of Use and/or comply with legal requirements.

Cookies

A cookie is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor's computer, and that the visitor's browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns. PCM uses cookies to help PCM identify and track visitors, their usage of PCM website, and their website access preferences. PCM visitors who do not wish to have cookies placed on their computers should set their browsers to refuse cookies before using PCM's websites, with the drawback that certain features of PCM's websites may not function properly without the aid of cookies.

Business Transfers

If PCM, or substantially all of its assets, were acquired, or in the unlikely event that PCM goes out of business or enters bankruptcy, user information would be one of the assets that is transferred or acquired by a third party. You acknowledge that such transfers may occur and that any acquirer of PCM may continue to use your personal information as set forth in this policy.

Promotional Communications

You may opt out of receiving promotional emails or text messages from PCM by following the instructions in those emails or text messages. If you opt-out, we may still send you non-promotional communications, such as those about your account or our ongoing business relations.
